This is my yearly “money” spreadsheet. I use it in Google Sheets so I can access it on my computer or phone seamlessly. I add each wedding or event into this spreadsheet when it gets booked so that I can see where I’m at on my sales goal for the year, how much I’ve spent per event, what I need to pay in Sales Tax each month, etc.
This spreadsheet is different than “bookkeeping”, because, as an event/wedding based business, I want to see our events for the calendar year, and set a “sales goal” for the events that occur during those 12-months. Bookkeeping is going to track money as it comes in. But as we know, in the event industry, money usually comes in months before the event occurs. I use this spreadsheet every day!
